Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre

I have been a nurse in oncology and haematology for over 15 years.

I started my oncology career as a graduate nurse in the inpatient haematology and bone marrow transplant ward at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in 2007 where I worked for just over 5 years. I then moved to Western Health initially working in the Day Chemotherapy Unit and Oncology Hospital In The Home where I became a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

In 2013 I was involved in the development of Victoria's first Symptom and Urgent Review Clinic (SURC) at Western Health as a Clinical Nurse Consultant.

I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Cancer Nursing and Palliative Care at the University of Melbourne in 2013-2014. I later went on to complete my Masters in Advanced Nursing Practice at the University of Melbourne finishing mid-2021.

For 18 months I took a secondment as the Nurse Unit Manager of Radiotherapy at Sunshine Hospital.

In September 2022 I moved to my current role as Clinical Nurse Consultant of the Symptom and Urgent Review Clinic at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

I am currently working towards endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner in oncology.
