Apichart Kardosod is a lecturer in surgical nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University. He first started working as an RN in the emergency care unit of Phrae Hospital, then he became a clinical instructor of the surgical department at the Faculty of Nursing. He had an opportunity for additional training by taking a four-month short course about the Science and Art of Teaching in Nursing with people with orthopedics disease for four months at Chiang Mai University, Thailand. He was given a scholarship to pursue his Master’s Degree in Nursing by the FON, CMU. He now teaches in the field of chronic and traumatic orthopedics. In addition, he is currently doing research on an empowerment program for people with chronic illnesses and the orthopedic cancer care community. Now, he was a scholarship from Chiang Mai Univerity for studying a Ph.D. in Nursing and Midwifery at Griffith University, Logan campus, Australia. The research project looks forward to supporting the care of family caregivers of metastatic spine cancer.
